Job Description:

Parsons is seeking someone who is an IT "jack-of-all-trades" with Security Operations Center (SOC) experience to be a key contributor to our team.  Imagine next with Parsons as you join a team that supports and values our employees, provides opportunities for exposure to various projects, and provides innovative solutions and products to our customers.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Set up and monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and products
• Detect, investigate and respond to security threats
• Configure and support virtual environments including AWS, VMware and Proxmox
• Maintain various operating systems with a variety of users and activities
• Apply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standards
• Install, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networks
• Test systems and resolve security vulnerabilities
• Participate in the government's Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain system accreditation
• Work with ISSOs to determine appropriate IT policies, while creating and improving upon system documentation
• Interact with and assist customers from various parts of USCYBERCOM
• Help manage computers, servers, networks, IT security systems and other critical components of USCYBERCOM’s IT infrastructure

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Integrator, Systems Administrator, or in a Cybersecurity role; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk, Elastic and/or similar products
• Active DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification or higher (ex: Security+ CE, CySA+, Network+, SSCP, etc.)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Master's Degree in Engineering or related field of study and 8+ years of experience
• Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Experience with STIGs/IAVA
• A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
• Has, or is willing to gain, more diverse IT skills, including Windows/Linux and networking
• Able to build systems from the ground up – network architecture/systems engineering

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00
