Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Mid-Level Intelligence Analyst to join our Defensive Threat Systems Modeling and Simulation (M&S) team supporting the warfighter and prominent acquisition and intelligence programs within the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC). The candidate will be an integral part of a team performing modeling and simulation of defensive weapon systems of peer/near-peer adversaries. The principal focus will be on surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems comprising RF sensors; target acquisition and tracking; 6-DOF missile flyout, command, and seeker endgame; network-centric warfare techniques; command-and-control (C2/C4); and advanced RF techniques.

Analysts tasks will include 1) subsystem and system level modeling and simulation derived from all-source intelligence data; 2) filling in gaps in intelligence data using knowledge of weapon systems and military operations; 3) integration of system models into engagement-level and mission-level systems-of-systems (SoS) simulations; 4) unit, system and SoS test planning, development and execution; support of small and large-scale simulation studies; 5) analysis, development and enhancement of various high-fidelity threat models; and 6) system engineering and analysis. 

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop expertise in applying the Missile and Space Intelligence Center’s model and simulation architectures to conduct analysis and assessments to answer critical intelligence questions

• Support analysis of foreign weapons and military capabilities by working with multiple stakeholders in the intelligence community and DoD to plan, execute, and document assessments

• Analyze simulation results to determine capabilities and limitations of threat performance

• Based on the needs discovered during execution of studies, create custom programming scripts and applicable tools to quickly parse large datasets to support analysis and improve overall user experience

• Use existing model and simulation tool sets to identify areas for improvement and implement expanded capabilities for deeper data analysis

• Create bespoke solutions for immediate needs and collaborate across multifunctional teams to mature new capabilities within ITASE models, tools, and architecture

• Defining requirements and designing solutions for modeling and simulation software

• Working as part of an AGILE software development team

• Troubleshooting and reporting software anomalies in a complex environment

Required Clearance:

• Candidate must have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance and be willing/able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of professional experience OR Master's Degree and 1+ years of professional experience (9+ years of relevant experience working on defense-related operations, analysis, or application of computer simulations to analytical problems can be considered in lieu of degree)

• Provide research and analysis to support intelligence organizations, and provide intelligence support for contingency operations, battle staff and operational-level planning, joint and multi-lateral training exercises

• Assess future and on-going political-military developments, military capabilities and doctrine, weapons and acquisitions, and employment of military forces

• Support development and analysis of intelligence products and present analyses or products to clients

• Experience with model and simulation to apply intelligence support and assessments

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Good written and oral communication skills, as well as a desire to work with a highly technical team including classified customers

• Experience designing, developing, or operating code for a distributed processing environment

• Experience with working with environmental datasets such as terrain, road networks, atmospheric data, RF propagation data, etc

• Experience developing products with regular release cycles

• Knowledge on joint air operations to include command and control, communications, radar, integrated air defense operations, and datalinks

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
