Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented CAD Modeler to join our growing team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Responsible for developing new missile CAD models

• Maintaining or updating existing missile CAD models to produce intelligence reports

• Will coordinate and communicate with model users and respond to requests for information such as dimensions, mass properties, what-if scenarios, etc.

• Hands-on work, sometimes involving small/delicate or damaged components

• Will directly support task leads in the execution of complex CAD modeling, drafting, and analysis

Required Clearance:

• Candidate must be US Citizen

• Candidate must have an active DoD Secret clearance and be willing/able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Associates Degree and 2+ years’ experience in CAD modeling, or

• Bachelors Degree degree in Design Engineering Technology or similar technical field with 0+ years’ experience

• Must have experience with creating 3-D mechanical models including material and mass properties using Siemens NX (preferred), Solidworks, Solid Edge, or other parametric modeling software, and creating 2-D line drawings from CAD models

• Experience in creating 3-D models from photogrammetry, hardware mensuration, and point clouds or meshes and using 3-D laser scanning technology is preferred

• Ability to read schematics/technical documentation; use standard mensuration equipment including calipers and other measurement tools to reverse engineer mechanical hardware

• Possess excellent written and oral communications skills

• Must be capable of independently developing CAD models and derivative products, and documenting results in formal reports

• Proficiency in MS Office

• Cumulative experience should demonstrate mature judgment and ability to work in a team-focused environment and customer representatives

What Desired Skills You Might Bring:

• Familiarity with all variety of missile weapon systems and ground support equipment is preferred

• Active TS/SCI Clearance

• Creating 3-D mechanical models including material and mass properties using Siemens NX

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
