Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Mechanical Expert to provide technical leadership and expertise across the design, execution, and operation of mechanical systems. The successful candidate will support project teams in delivering efficient, reliable, and compliant mechanical solutions while ensuring adherence to industry standards, project requirements, and best engineering practices.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide expert guidance on mechanical design, engineering, and specifications.

• Review and approve technical deliverables, drawings, calculations, and engineering documentation.

• Support project teams in resolving complex mechanical engineering challenges and technical issues.

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with project objectives and operational requirements.

• Contribute to quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering and project delivery.

• Strong technical expertise in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems.

• Demonstrated experience reviewing engineering designs, technical submissions, and project deliverables.

• Good understanding of applicable mechanical engineering standards, codes, and best practices.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and complex project environments.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, industrial, transportation, port, or terminal projects.

• Professional Engineering certification, chartership, or equivalent professional accreditation.

• Experience supporting testing, commissioning, and handover activities for mechanical systems.

• Familiarity with asset management, reliability engineering, and operational optimization practices.

• Knowledge of sustainability, energy efficiency, and modern mechanical system technologies.

• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects involving multiple stakeholders.
