Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Logistic Coordinator to join our team! In this role you will get to ensure the efficient and safe transport, delivery, and storage of materials and equipment on-site. This role requires strong organizational skills, experience managing logistics in large construction projects, and knowledge of airport-specific regulations and safety requirements.

The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure that the project progresses smoothly and on time while maintaining budget and safety standards.

What You'll Be Doing;

  • Plan and coordinate the transportation of construction materials, equipment, and supplies to the airport project site, ensuring all deliveries are on time and meet project schedules.
  • Coordinate with shipping companies, contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth delivery and unloading processes.
  • Manage the customs clearance and transportation logistics for any international shipments, ensuring compliance with relevant airport security and transportation regulations.
  • Oversee the organization, storage, and movement of materials on-site, ensuring proper inventory management and preventing stockouts or delays in the construction schedule.
  • Work with the project team to ensure that the right materials are available when needed and properly stored in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain and update detailed records of all materials and equipment delivered to and used on-site.
  • Ensure all logistics-related documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner, including shipment tracking, delivery receipts, bills of lading, and customs documents.
  • Prepare regular logistics reports for project managers and senior leadership, including updates on inventory, cost control, and any potential delays.
  • Track delivery schedules and make adjustments to ensure that project timelines are adhered to.
  • Coordinate with airport authorities to ensure proper clearance for materials and equipment entering the airport site.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with airport security protocols, including access control and safety requirements for sensitive areas.
  • Work closely with security teams to monitor the movement of goods into and out of the project site and ensure compliance with local and international aviation regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal project teams, contractors, suppliers, and airport authorities to ensure alignment and resolve any logistical challenges.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all logistical inquiries related to the airport construction project, ensuring quick response times and resolution of issues.
  • Facilitate communication between various departments to ensure the seamless movement of goods and equipment.
  • Identify and mitigate potential logistics risks related to transportation delays, weather disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, airport regulations, and health and safety standards in all logistics activities.
  • Monitor all handling, storage, and transportation of materials to ensure safety standards are met and minimize risk to the project and personnel.
  • Work with the procurement and project management teams to optimize transportation and storage costs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings in logistics operations while maintaining efficiency and compliance with project schedules.
  • Ensure that logistics activities stay within budget and report any significant changes or deviations to senior management.

What Required Skills You'll Bring;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of logistics or supply chain management experience, preferably in construction or airport-related projects.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale logistics operations and working with airport or aviation authorities.
  • Experience with coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and transportation management, particularly in the construction and airport sectors
  • Familiarity with relevant airport regulations, including access control, customs clearance, and security protocols.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, such as transportation management systems (TMS), and advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Experience working directly with airport authorities or in the aviation industry.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for logistics management or construction coordination.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CLTD, or similar).
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of international transportation regulations and customs compliance.
