Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented IT Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to work on the Hudson Tunnel Project.
*****This is a Temporary role and will only be 6-8 weeks long******
The engineer will need to perform the following tasks:
- Coordinate on-site installation with building vendors and ISPs (Cogent Communications and Natural Wireless).
- Rack, stack, and cable Meraki MX95 security appliances and C9300L stackable switches with redundant power.
- Mount and provision Cisco Meraki MR9176 access points. •
- Perform network configuration and testing on the Cisco Meraki dashboard, including: o VLAN creation per design (User, Guest, IoT, Management, Infrastructure) o IP addressing (10.x.x.x schema, /24 per VLAN) o Port configurations and switch stack setup o SSID configuration and access policies.
- Validate uplink failover between fiber (primary) and microwave (backup) circuits.
- Perform final system validation and document "as-built" network.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience deploying Cisco Meraki solutions in enterprise or multi-site environments •
- Strong hands-on skills with Meraki MX security appliances, MS series switches (stacking, redundancy, uplinks), and MR wireless access points •
- Proficient with Meraki Dashboard for end-to-end configuration, policy enforcement, VLAN segmentation, and device monitoring •
- Solid understanding of IP addressing and subnetting, including Layer 2/3 VLAN architecture and static routing •
- Familiarity with WAN failover configurations involving dual ISP circuits (fiber and microwave) •
- Comfortable working independently on implementation tasks while coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors •
- Detail-oriented with the ability to document "as-built" network configurations and changes clearly •
- Experience with multi-office deployments, including coordination with construction timelines and building management •
- Knowledge of VLAN segmentation and IP subnetting best practices •
- Strong documentation and communication skills
