Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Logistician to join our team! In this role you will be responsible to lead the management and control of program wide assets, including initiating and maintaining the processes, systems, procedures, records, and methodologies necessary for effective and efficient control. The Lead Logistician shall lead internal assessments, auditing of inventory, and oversight of Government Property Loss investigations, as well as lead proper property disposition in coordination with the AAS Property Administrator (PA).
What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for the performance and daily management, execution, and personnel supervision of program-wide assets.
- Shall develop work procedures and work scheduling to ensure efficient use of resources and required coverage to meet PWS requirements.
- Shall ensure Parsons and USG purchasing procedures are implemented in accordance with the performance work statement.
- Performs and trains personnel according to standard operating procedures and participates in all related process action / process improvement actions.
- Maintains and optimizes inventory control procedures, examines material supply to determine shortages and minimum quantities, documents daily deliveries, analyzes different suppliers to determine preferred or non-preferred vendors, and updates physical warehouse space to match all inventory management software data.
- Shall provide reports and documents pertaining to warehouse / supply operations in accordance with the performance work statement such as requests for shipping documentation, warehouse stock levels, supply metrics, warehouse layout status, and inventory management system data.
- Ensures all materials received are correct as ordered from the vendor and notifies the USG immediately of any discrepancies. Files all related claims.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive safety program in compliance with Parsons, OSHA, and USG requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
- Complies with the Reusable Container Program and the Special Packaging Instructions.
- Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (to include government facilities, equipment, and tools).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with managing large logistics program for USG CONUS and OCONUS.
- Experience in a military contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
- The Lead Logistician shall have a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience. The Logistics Lead may be cross-utilized with another position.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience related to Logistics service requirements, acquiring, fielding, sustaining, and safely disposing of property.
- Must have knowledge and experience managing DoW property in multiple locations both CONUS and OCONUS.
- Must have valid Passport to obtain visa.
- Must have valid Driver’s License to certify for 5k, 10k forklifts.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a large team in a remote environment.
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations and analyze data to identify root causes.
- Leadership qualities to promote a positive safety culture and influence behavior.
- Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements.
- Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
