Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Safety Specialist to join our team!! In this role under the direction of the project safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) manager, you will assists a project or program manager in ensuring that the site-specific SH&E plans, workplaces, and operational tasks being conducted conform to Parsons' risk management practices.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assists the SH&E Manager with administering the SH&E programs.

• Supports the SH&E Manager with audits the project or program and its worksites against corporate standards.

• Performs inspections to assess hazards; provides expertise to project personnel to eliminate/control the SH&E risks associated with exposure to the hazards.

• Creates and submits written inspection reports.

• Monitors project or program work planning and performance; verifies planning and work performance conforms to Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system.

• Implements Parsons’ occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.

• Creates and maintains SH&E training records.

• Participates in routine safe work briefings.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 2-5 years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety

• Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

• Computer skills including but noy limited to Microsoft and Excel

• 10 or 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• An ASP or GSP

• 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER

• Construction Experience

• Familiar with ProCore

Salary Range: $30.58 - $53.51
