As the Executive Assistant for the organization at Parsons you will supervise the performance of administrative functions and ensure the smooth operation of the office. You will be responsible for reviewing and editing correspondence, managing office facilities, and coordinating administrative activities with other organizational elements. Your role will also include serving as the custodian of classified documents and providing technical training and instruction to subordinates and supported units
What You'll Be Doing:
- Administrative Supervision: Supervise the performance of administrative functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Correspondence Review: Review and edit correspondence prior to release, submission for signature, or other disposition.
- File Management: Conduct periodic reviews of files to ensure proper filing of correspondence.
- Office Management: Control the use of office facilities and plan and organize office operations, including publications and forms administration and office administrative procedures.
- SOP and Documentation: Write office Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), job descriptions, and directives.
- Office Requirements: Determine requirements for office equipment, supplies, and space. Plan the layout of the office as needed.
- Requisitions and Inventory: Create requisitions, receive, inventory, and sign hand receipts for office equipment.
- Coordination: Coordinate administrative activities with other organizational elements and staff sections.
- Classified Document Custodian: Serve as the custodian of classified documents, ensuring proper accountability based on the degree of classification. Sign receipts for, log, inventory, file, and secure classified documents. Prepare documents for destruction or other disposition.
- Technical Training: Provide technical training and instruction to subordinates and supported units.
- Higher-Level Duties: Perform duties at the division, comparable, or higher-level headquarters as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Jr.. - High School or GED with 3+ years experience
- Sr. - High School or GED with 5+ years experience
- Must have a current/active Secret clearance
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience in supervising administrative functions and managing office operations.
- Experience in handling classified documents and ensuring proper accountability.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Knowledge of office equipment and supplies management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with ATAAPS, DTS, MIRARS

- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
