Infrastructure Engineer

Bahrain

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Infrastructure Engineer to join our team! The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for performing administrative and operational functions necessary for the daily operation in coordination with the R.E. of the project. In the absence of the R.E. The Infrastructure Engineer shall ensure that the project discipline engineers are performing their duties efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Reviewing the inspector’s daily reports.

• Preparing the engineer’s daily diary.

• Providing general oversight of the Discipline engineers’ and inspectors’ daily activities, including work assignments, on-site performance, and guidance on the supervision of the contractor’s operations.

• Reviewing the contractor’s inspection, surveying, and testing requests and subsequent completed reports.

• Reviewing and recommending for approval to the RE the contractor’s shop drawings as delegated by the RE.

• Monitoring the performance of the survey party.

• Reviewing and recommending for approval to the RE contractor’s proposed materials and methods as delegated by the RE.

• Preparing meeting minutes as delegated by the RE.

• Coordinating with the contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence, and method of work.

• Monitoring conformance with the contractor’s schedule.

• Conducting continual field inspections of the work in progress and consulting with both the engineer’s and contractor’s supervisory staff.

• Preparing written and oral reports to the RE on contractual and procedural matters.

• Reviewing as-built drawings in coordination with inspectors and surveyors.

• Keeping the RE informed of work progress and problems.

• Working effectively by knowing construction methods and inspection techniques.

• Keeping complete and accurate records of the work and quantities completed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil engineering or construction-related field.

• Minimum 12 years of experience in field construction is required.

• Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.

• Bahrain or GCC experience is preferred.
  Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices. Also requires excellent written and oral communication skills, a familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction, and the potential for performing in a lead capacity on a project.
