Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented HR Shared Services Sr. Advisor to join our HR Shared Services team! In this role you will get to resolve complex employee related inquiries on Human Resources (HR) processes and programs (e.g., HR general inquiries, talent management, payroll support, international transfers, timekeeping support, onboarding, offboarding, background checks, policy interpretation, etc.). Works alongside an HR team that is focused on internal customers, in a constant changing environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Serves as an informational resource for the HR shared services team including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, LOA, verification of employment, payroll, policies and procedures, and/or other programs of support.
  • Handles several HR programs and/or technical support assignments.
  • Researches and explains HR related questions to employees in North America in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Delivers excellent core standard services to employees.
  • Provides accurate and efficient resolution of issues through multiple channels (e.g., Salesforce Case Management System, phone, email, and chat) by following appropriate resolution/assessment methodologies (e.g., investigating and research).
  • Supports North America offboarding process by ensuring compliance according to company policy and state guidelines.
  • Supports North America onboarding process to include conducting New Hire Orientation and ensuring I-9 federal compliance.
  • Provides back up support to other HR shared services team members, as needed.
  • Understands and meets the HR shared services team established SLOs.
    - Ensures proper triage, escalation, and effective resolution of complex inquiries.
  • Utilizes knowledge management tools and contributes new/updated information to maintain an accurate and consistent knowledge base in support of customers, peers, and the HR Organization.
  • Attends and participates in meetings related to areas of support.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Ability to apply fundamental HR principles, company policies, and practices to assigned tasks
  • Ability to effectively articulate fundamental aspects of relevant laws and regulations, as well as HR principles and company policies
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a wide variety of sensitive situations with high transactional volume.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) on HR issues
  • Ability to provide guidance to managers.
  • Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and follow through.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar software packages.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential assignments and work in a fast-paced, highly visible environment
  • Experience and proficiency utilizing technology and software (standard and specific to HR field)
  • Ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of related federal and state regulations

Education and Typical Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or Human Resources (or equivalent)3+ years of related work experience

Salary Range: 

$21.44 - $37.55
