Job Description:

Parsons is anticipating the need for a Handback / Handover Manager to join our team and support a complex infrastructure project in Dublin.

In this role, you will lead the seamless transition of construction projects from delivery to operational readiness, ensuring assets are completed, commissioned, and handed over in line with contractual, regulatory, and client requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed handover and handback plans, schedules, and checklists.
  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, quality, and operational teams to ensure readiness for handover.
  • Ensure all documentation, certifications, approvals, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and asset data are complete and accurate.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams during the handover phase.
  • Facilitate regular handover meetings, progress reviews, and audits to monitor readiness.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may affect handover timelines, quality, or compliance.
  • Resolve issues and manage expectations to ensure smooth project transitions.
  • Support training and knowledge transfer to operational teams.
  • Capture lessons learned and implement continuous improvements in handover processes.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards throughout all handover activities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 15+ years of experience in Construction, Engineering and Management in large scale multidisciplinary railway engineering and construction projects, or projects of a similar nature.
  • Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing handover / handback processes on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction, commissioning, and asset management principles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple handover packages, teams, and subcontractors simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management and document control tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Aconex).
  • Knowledge of contractual, regulatory, and quality standards in infrastructure projects.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Chartered membership in a professional body (e.g., Chartered Engineer – EI or equivalent, Chartered Project Professional - APM, or PMI).
  • CSCS card or other construction site compliance certification.

Note: This position is contingent upon project award and future funding, this exciting new opportunity is planned to commence in Spring 2026
