Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented and enthusiastic Front-End Software Developer to join our summer internship program!

The ideal candidate would be a developer who is currently majoring or specializing in Front-End/GUI design.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Implement highly intuitive UI for hardware/software products
• Create polished, consistent interfaces using established and custom component libraries and CSS styling.
• Rework existing front-end products to be more responsive and performant.
• Create new or enhanced data apps to create practical and accessible graphs and visualizations.
• Work alongside program managers, UX designers, software engineers, hardware engineers, subject matter experts, and customers.
• Practice and improve on agile development methodologies and tools.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Must be a US Citizen and willing to obtain a government security clearance.
• Currently seeking bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Web Development, UX Design, Multimedia Design. Related technology field or 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Some programming skills in the following: Javascript, CSS, HTML, ReactJS, Frameworks, and Git.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience w/ web design, Material UI, Google Material, Axure, Adobe XD, HTML.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Ability to take high-level concepts related to Electrical Engineering and apply them to intuitive graphical interfaces.

Salary Range: 

$21.44 - $37.55
