Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented FLS Engineer to join our team in NEOM. Parsons is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the development of NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.
The FLS Engineer will be responsible for ensuring effective fire and life safety measures across various construction sites. Your expertise will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and overseeing safety systems that protect both personnel and property.
Key Responsibilities:-
Develop and implement fire and life safety strategies for construction projects.
Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses related to fire safety.
Collaborate with design teams to ensure compliance with fire and life safety codes and standards.
Review and approve fire safety plans, including evacuation routes and emergency procedures.
Perform inspections of fire protection systems and safety equipment.
Provide training and guidance on fire safety procedures to project teams and workers.
Coordinate with local fire authorities and ensure compliance with regulations.
Manage documentation related to fire safety inspections and audits.
Respond to fire incidents and emergencies in a timely manner.
Qualification & Experience:-
Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in fire and life safety engineering in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, standards, and best practices.
Experience in conducting fire risk assessments and audits.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with relevant fire safety software and tools.
Professional certification in fire safety engineering is a plus.
