Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Finance Specialist to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Support month-end and year-end close processes

• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements

• Assist in the development, tracking, and analysis of project budgets and forecasts

• Collaborate with project teams to track expenditures, monitor financial performance, and mitigate risks

• Assist with audits, cost proposals, and other financial documentation

• Recommend process improvements to enhance reporting and operational efficiency

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or equivalent)

• 2+ years work experience

• Advanced level in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, logic functions, data manipulation)

• Advanced level in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Advanced level in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, logic functions, data manipulation) and Power BI preferable.

• Experience in dealing with various types of contracts (e.g., firm-fixed price, fixed-price with economic price adjustment, fixed-price incentive, cost reimbursement, cost sharing, cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-award-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and time and material) is preferable.
