Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Field Engineer: Quality & Handover to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee and enforce quality standards on-site for all civil activities in accordance with project specifications and international standards.
- Conduct inspections, monitor contractor compliance, and ensure that all civil works meet required quality benchmarks.
- Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Material Approval Requests (MARs), and Method Statements.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure proper execution of civil works, including earthworks, concrete, pavements, and drainage systems.
- Collaborate with contractors and consultants to resolve on-site issues and maintain progress without compromising quality.
- Maintain daily site reports and documentation of inspections and testing.
- Lead the preparation of handover documentation, including test results, inspection reports, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, construction, and client teams to conduct final walkthroughs and resolve punch list items.
- Ensure timely and complete submission of handover dossiers in compliance with project close-out requirements.
- Act as a key liaison between site teams, consultants, and client representatives for quality and handover-related matters.
- Participate in quality audits, technical meetings, and progress reviews.
- Ensure all work is documented and reported clearly, professionally, and in a timely manner.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of civil engineering experience, with at least 3 years on infrastructure or airport-related projects.
- Proven experience in QA/QC, site supervision, and handover of large-scale civil works.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, quality standards (ACI, ASTM, BS, etc.), and project specifications.
- Proficient in reviewing ITPs, MARs, and other quality documentation.
- Good command of AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction management tools.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple site activities effectively.
- Certification in QA/QC or construction quality management.
- Experience working on aviation or airport infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with international project delivery frameworks and close-out processes.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in construction environments.
- Proactive mindset and strong team collaboration skills.
