Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee rail-related facilities for a major freight rail infrastructure program.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage the operation, maintenance, and lifecycle of all facilities associated with the rail network, including stations, depots, administrative buildings, technical rooms, utilities, and support structures.

  • Develop and implement facility management strategies, preventive maintenance programs, and long-term lifecycle plans.

  • Coordinate with engineering, systems, operations, safety, and maintenance teams to ensure facilities support rail operations efficiently.

  • Oversee inspections, audits, and resolution of facility defects, non-conformances, and safety hazards.

  • Manage facility-related contracts, service providers, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with performance standards and KPIs.

  • Monitor building systems (HVAC, electrical, fire protection, plumbing, access control, SCADA interfaces, etc.) for proper functioning and timely maintenance.

  • Maintain accurate facility asset data, maintenance records, and documentation in accordance with asset management frameworks.

  • Lead response and recovery activities for facility-related incidents, emergencies, and disruptions.

  • Prepare facility performance reports, maintenance dashboards, and updates for senior management.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across all facility operations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in facilities management for major infrastructure or transportation programs, including rail or freight rail environments.

  • Experience as a Facilities Manager (or equivalent senior role) on at least one major project of similar size and complexity.

  • Strong expertise in managing complex building systems, asset management, and maintenance planning.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Sound knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in facility operations.
