Job Description:

Engineering Design Manager   – Rail & Transit – Oakland , California  

Opportunity:

Parsons is now hiring for highly  experienced Engineering  Design Manager  to support our Bay Area  transit and  rail projects.

Parsons is providing engineering and design services for multiple projects across north America including projects in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, New York, Baltimore, and Honolulu ! The Parsons teams are full-service design, construction, and technology integration designers that utilize full 3D models in the design process. Parsons provides innovative, sustainable solutions that reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality, while helping commuters get to their destinations safely and reliably.

 This role is based in Oakland, California  , with a hybrid remote working scenario ( meaning allowed to work from home 2-3 days per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a multi-disciplinary design team for transportation infrastructure projects from conceptual engineering through final design and engineering support during construction.
  • Lead and facilitate coordination with the client and key stakeholders.
  • Provide additional oversight and guidance to the track design team staff.
  • Support the Project Manager with developing and managing scopes, schedules, and budgets.

  • Responsible for overseeing  track alignment design for staff  utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation ORD.
  • Transit design experience consists of mainline track alignment and yards and  experience with trackwork construction and special trackwork.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with rail track alignment designs

Requirements :

A 4 year Degree in Engineering, and at least  15 years or more with  track design engineering for large scale rail transit systems.

Experience with light or heavy rail track alignment systems.

Any experience with the California Public utilities commission is desirable, but not required.

Salary Range: $128,700.00 - $231,700.00
