Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Junior Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to provide program support in an experienced team environment developing missile models and simulations, model-based systems engineering, and performing analysis and trade studies. In addition, you will be providing modeling and navigation support to a 6-DOF modeling architecture.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Missile flight dynamics modeling

• Guidance and control systems modeling

• Navigation and Navigation component (GNSS Receivers, IMU, etc.) level modeling

• System-level model development

• Working within an experienced team to provide Navigation support for 6-DOF models

• Strategizing with team members on Model-Based Systems Engineering best practices and techniques

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• BS in Aerospace and/or Mechanical Engineering and 2-5 years of experience

• US Citizen and ability to obtain a security clearance

• Advanced knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must be comfortable taking the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly

• Ability to prepare technical reports and briefings

• Ability to effectively deliver technical briefings

• Strong interpersonal skills to support interaction with both Government and contractor personnel

• Knowledge of a programming language

• Good interpersonal and communication skills in spoken English

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• TS/SCI clearance highly desired

• Knowledge of event based and real-time simulation architectures highly desired

• Knowledge of distributed processing / computing environments highly desired

• Experience coding in C/C++, Python and/or MATLAB/Simulink

• Experience working with Kalman filters

Salary Range: $29.95 - $52.40
