Electrical Inspector

Parsons is looking for an experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team! In this role, you will oversee and inspect electrical works for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of electrical systems within the project scope.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conduct daily inspections of electrical installations, including power distribution systems, lighting, cabling, and control systems, to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Monitor and report on the progress of electrical works, identifying potential delays or issues and recommending corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the required quality standards and project specifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, including daily reports, safety reports, and quality control records.
• Verify that electrical installations are completed in accordance with approved shop drawings, method statements, and project requirements.
• Assist with testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure functionality and compliance with project standards.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to address and resolve electrical-related issues promptly.
• Support the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation for electrical systems.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical inspection for infrastructure projects, including roads and utilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction standards, codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, and public works.
• Familiarity with local electrical regulations and standards, particularly in the Middle East or GCC region.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage.
