Job Description:

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provides management and direction across all design disciplines on one or more projects.
• Works closely with Project Managers to maintain a clear understanding of project objectives, scope and quality requirements and is responsible for keeping the disciplines informed.
• Develops a detailed Work Breakdown Structure for on-time delivery of the project with all disciplines and updates the WBS during the life of the project as required.
• Oversees the plans for design checking and Quality Control processes for each deliverable and manages their implementation.
• Leads regular meetings with the staff allocated from each design discipline as well as from subconsultants to review: progress; coordination between the various disciplines; quality control; information needs; program; staffing; design issues and solutions. Maintains meeting minutes.
• Represents the design team at meetings with clients. Communicates the reasoning behind key design decisions and defends these when challenged.
• Works closely with Discipline Managers to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to progress or  staffing, quality of work, schedule performance, or productivity.
• Supports pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant providing LOEs and technical write ups.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
