Job Description:

Design Manager - Stormwater (Arabic Speaker) 

Al Ain, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Manager to join our team! In this role you will oversee the technical design review aspects of wet utilities management systems for large-scale infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with the Project Management team to define project scope, strategy, deliverables, and resourcing for stormwater and wet infrastructure projects.

• Lead the development of technical proposals for stormwater design review services, including methodologies, assumptions, budgets, and integrated multi-disciplinary solutions.

• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear, timely communication and alignment on project objectives, constraints, and design review outcomes.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members, offering guidance on stormwater modeling, design standards, regulations, and best practices.

• Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment that encourages open dialogue, constructive feedback, and professional development through training and coaching.

• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing by refining processes and tools, documenting lessons learned and best practices, and supporting internal standards and QA procedures.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline

• Minimum ten years experience in design and review of stormwater and wet infrastructure projects within an engineering consultancy

• Demonstrated technical experience on wet infrastructure programs, including design review and working with relevant standards and approval authorities.

• Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.

• Strong skills in articulating technical concepts and proposed solutions, including preparing clear documentation and presenting at senior levels.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex technical information clearly to senior clients and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a solutions-focused mindset and sound professional judgment.

• Ability to communicate in English and Arabic
