Parsons is looking for an experienced and talented Design Manager to join our team! In this role, you will oversee and manage the design process for large-scale infrastructure and development projects, ensuring that designs meet client requirements, project objectives, and regulatory standards. You will play a critical role in coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality designs within budget and schedule constraints.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage the design process from concept through to detailed design, ensuring alignment with project goals, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams, including architects, engineers, planners, and consultants, to deliver integrated and innovative design solutions.
• Review and approve design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Manage the design schedule, ensuring timely delivery of design milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor and control design budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
• Facilitate design review meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to address design challenges and ensure alignment on project objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and support to design teams, ensuring the resolution of design-related issues and challenges.
• Ensure compliance with local and international design standards, codes, and regulations.
• Identify and mitigate design risks, ensuring that potential issues are addressed proactively.
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure constructability and feasibility of designs.
• Prepare and present design progress reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to clients and senior management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement in the design process.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in design management, with a proven track record of managing complex infrastructure or development projects.
• Professional registration or certification as a Chartered Engineer .
• Strong knowledge of design principles, processes, and standards across multiple disciplines.
• Proficiency in design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present detailed reports and engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide design teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or urban development projects in the Middle East or GCC region.
• Familiarity with sustainability and environmental design principles, including LEED or similar certifications.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address complex design challenges.
• Knowledge of project management tools and software, such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
