Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Cyber Solutions Architect to join our team! This role will support our Defense and Intelligence Business Unit, Cyber and National Operations sector, which provides full spectrum offensive and defensive cyber capabilities to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).  

POSITION OVERVIEW:  

Reports to the Chief Architect and their team, working closely with the Solution Train Engineers and Agile Release Train Engineers, the successful candidate will advise the Chief Architecture Team of the progress and any impediments to adoption and implementation of key architectural components, support the development and adoption of Architectural Decisions across the Enterprise, lead technical exchange meetings with key leaders and solutioning teams in the identification, qualification, pursuit and shaping of new technologies in the Enterprise ecosystem. The candidate will leverage technology and engineering knowledge to unify technical strategy (solution stack, architecture, technical requirements) for the continued advancement of current and progressively more complex DoD and IC cyber program. This is a full-time role with the location being based in Columbia Maryland. Travel is expected on average 10-20%.  

What You'll Be Doing:

• Working closely with the Chief Architect and their team, understanding and documenting the architecture and specific architectural decisions.

• Communicating the architecture and vision to the solution train and agile release engineers through briefings, technical exchange meetings, one-on-one interaction at planning events and Mattermost.

• Identify and align development and establish a technology strategy that enables programs to support current and future operational requirements.

• Work with program staff to understand technical needs of their programs and how to best provide support and solutions (both existing and innovative).

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required for consideration

• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

• 12+ years of related hands-on experience or Master’s degree with 10+ years of related hands-on experience.

• Hands on development experience using agile processes.  

• Strong familiarity with SAFe scaled agile is plus.

• Experience with system engineering life cycle methodologies.

• Must have background with cloud technologies.  

• AWS Certification is a plus.

• Keeps abreast of the current cloud development and devsecops cyber trends.

• Strong inter-personal skills for building relationships across the Enterprise teams.

• Hands on experience leading a team of skilled engineers, architects, requirements analysts, test engineers, and Cyber practitioners in order to understand their requirements and how to best align activities with Chief Architect Objectives.

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $128,700.00 - $231,700.00
