Cost Manager
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and talented Cost Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be an integral part of the Project Management Team for one of our clients in a seconded capacity.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and manage the commercial aspects of component projects, including coordination with all stakeholders.
- Exercise a qualified level of cost management, including cost planning, controlling, and reporting proficiency.
- Create and maintain reports to accurately reflect current budgets, invoices, committed costs, projected-to-go or cost-to-complete estimates, budget variances, cash flow projections, and schedule of values for individual projects.
- Provide trending information to assist in forecasting potential cost and time issues.
- Manage work breakdown structures and revisions.
- Coordinate conceptual estimates for various design and construction estimates to provide program budgets.
- Develop and maintain an automated program cost database.
- Perform work in a safe manner and actively encourage others to comply with safety rules and regulations.
- Provide an annual fiscal budget and past period cost performance report.
- Provide a monthly consolidated program cost performance report.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least fifteen years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with 5 years of experience in the UAE.
- Demonstrated experience in Ports projects is an added advantage.
- Construction experience in change order review and negotiations process is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working on large programs of small works is beneficial.
- Proven construction experience in estimating, bidding, and job cost preparation, as well as an understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and general construction management principles, is required.
