Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Contract Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing all contract activities for a Division, a major market segment, or for a major project, with potential travel to client offices or project sites.
What You'll Be Doing:
Participating in strategic planning activities for specific projects (e.g., risk assessments, bid/no-bid analysis, and business plan development).
Providing technical guidance to assigned personnel and ensuring contract administration proficiency and timeliness.
Making staffing decisions, recruiting, interviewing, evaluating employees, and ensuring proper orientation in company policies.
Collaborating with Division and project management to support proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and administration.
Reviewing requests for proposals to identify potential risks and non-conformance to company policy.
Negotiating complex and sensitive issues with clients and representing the company in relevant government or industry hearings.
Staying involved in professional societies to remain informed on relevant contractual issues.
Performing other duties as required in support of contract activities.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Typically 12+ years of prime contract administration experience within a large international engineering and construction firm.
A comprehensive understanding of industry business practices and contract negotiations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven management ability, including the oversight of contract administrators and administrative support staff.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience with government procurement policy and initiatives.
Familiarity with PC software packages commonly used in contract administration.
Active involvement in industry-related professional societies.
