In this role you will get to manage and administer contracts on major roads and infrastructure projects, ensuring that all commercial and contractual aspects are properly controlled, documented, and delivered in line with project and client requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Administer pre‑ and post‑contract activities for roads and infrastructure projects, including contract review, interpretation, and implementation in coordination with project and commercial teams.

  • Prepare and manage contractual correspondence—such as notices, claims, variations, and EOT submissions—ensuring accuracy, compliance with contract conditions, and adherence to required timelines.

  • Evaluate, analyze, and support negotiation of contractor and consultant variations, claims, and change orders, including preparation of detailed commercial and technical assessments.

  • Monitor contract performance, commercial risks, and key obligations (bonds, insurances, warranties, milestones), maintaining up‑to‑date contract registers and compliance tracking systems.

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing tender documents, scopes of work, special conditions, and procurement packages for contractors and suppliers.

  • Coordinate with engineering, planning, cost control, and site supervision teams to gather and validate data for contract administration, claims substantiation, and dispute avoidance.

  • Provide contractual and commercial advice to project teams regarding contract interpretation, risk allocation, compliance requirements, and alignment with company and client policies.

  • Draft clear, accurate contractual and commercial letters, supported by thorough document analysis and coordination with relevant departments.

  • Maintain and update correspondence logs, internal registers, and tracking tools to ensure proper documentation, traceability, and identification of potential claims or contractual issues.

  • Support the preparation of claims and related documentation on behalf of the Engineer, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with contractual procedures.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in large infrastructure projects.

  • Experience in roads and infrastructure projects will be an advantage.

  • Consultancy experience will be given preference.

  • Knowledge of pre and post contract administration.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
