Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Contracts/Commercial Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to play a key role in the mobilization and execution of our major projects and programs, in the kingdom.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide short term / long term cover for open positions on projects throughout the Kingdom.
Interact with Project Directors and Lead Commercial personnel to identify and mitigate potential issues
Ensures that all team members apply company and / or project practices, techniques, processes and procedures.
Update and revise project / program procedures in regard to commercial and technical requirements, development and compliance with best practices.
Assist in the continuous improvement of contract processes through refining contract formulation activities, systems and procedures.
Claims – help projects as required to evaluate and recommend claims, including the calculation of losses.
Formulate strategies to resolve Contract and Commercial issues.
Provide advice regarding contract procurement and types of underlying contracts and agreements (as necessary).
Assist in the preparation of legal and contractual documents such as; Request for Proposals (RFP) and other legal or contractual documents.
Collaborate with colleagues across organizational lines to obtain and communicate business information necessary for Reporting purposes
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
A Bachelor degree in a subject related to Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering required preferred)
A minimum of 12-15 years of relevant post degree work experience (pre & post qualification)
Recent experience in a commercial role, including managing of teams
Good at working on own initiative
Ability to guide staff, critique and challenge objectively and with confidence.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience developing successful relationships at a senior level
Direct experience interfacing with executive management and clients.
