Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Commercial Director to join our team! The successful candidate will ensure the project is designed, procured, and constructed to meet financial targets and achieve best value.

This role involves managing risks and opportunities effectively and fostering collaborative and proactive management of contractual relationships to avoid disputes impacting project delivery. The Commercial Director will be the principal point of contact with the client on all commercial-related matters.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leadership & Strategy: Lead a multidisciplinary commercial team, providing direction and leadership.

• Project Delivery: Ensure successful project delivery through the highest standard of ethical, professional commercial management services, achieving client’s financial, procurement, contract, and risk objectives.

• Planning & Execution: Define and plan project goals, devising methods to accomplish them using best practices.

• Client Relations: Develop in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Build professional relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, operators, contractors, suppliers, and the broader supply chain.

• Integration: Collaborate with other discipline leads to ensure effective integration of design, engineering, technical, technology, safety, planning, commercial, and construction activities and deliverables.

• Contract Management: Possess robust knowledge of internationally recognized forms of contract, bespoke contracts, and strong contractual claims experience. This includes negotiating terms, managing claims, and resolving disputes effectively.

• Digital Technologies: Be conversant with the application of digital technologies, including BIM and GIS, in project delivery.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Minimum of 20 years in the construction industry.

• Minimum of 5 years KSA experience preferred.

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent

• Chartered membership with a recognized institute such as RICS, CIArb, or equivalent.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

• Proven ability to perform in a leadership capacity.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to manage a large multidisciplinary commercial team.

• Strong contractual claims experience.

• Strong knowledge of industry practices and standards.

• Familiarity with digital technologies, including BIM and GIS.
