Civil Manager for Rail
Parsons is looking for a Principal Project Manager who will serve as a Civil Manager for Rail Transit projects. Our local rail clients include PANYNJ, Amtrak, NYCT, LIRR, NJTransit, and we are looking to expand into MNRR. Opportunities to support rail projects outside of the local NY/NJ area are also anticipated.
The ideal location for this job is in our New York City office and for the right candidate a hybrid option is available.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supported by our New York, New Jersey engineering teams, this project manager will be involved in business development activities and managing design projects upon award.
Our group has a base of business with the local transportation agencies to support ongoing operations.
You will provide direction and management for medium-to-large sized projects, or several small projects, and ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.
Our project managers are responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives.
You will plan and define program goals and devise methods to accomplish them; while developing an in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
4-year degree in Engineering or related technical/business field
15+ years of related work experience required
Previous project management experience on rail or related projects
PE required

Design Build project experience is a plus
