Job Description:
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, and other project-related activities, including correspondence related to the bridges section. Prepare responses for the Resident Engineer's review.
- Coordinate with Parsons' design engineers to resolve project-related issues.
- Maintain daily diaries and reports prepared by inspectors.
- Coordinate with contractor engineers on scheduling and resource allocation.
- Direct, assist, and monitor the performance of inspectors and surveyors as applicable.
- Convene and chair special meetings with service authorities, contractors, subcontractors, and other relevant parties.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of project records.
- Achieve safety goals and oversee the implementation of safety procedures on the project.
- Prepare or assist in preparing weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Actively participate in health and safety issues on-site as required by the Resident Engineer and project safety representatives.
- Provide necessary on-site direction and assist the Resident Engineer in issuing site instructions related to utilities works and associated items.
- Check and measure performed work, record progress, and assist the Resident Engineer in displaying progress versus programmed work.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience in construction and site supervision of irrigation chambers and pumping station projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in Dubai.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience advising clients on the best systems, materials, products, and sustainability for irrigation/water feature systems.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P3.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Demonstrable experience in all aspects of civil supervision of major road and general infrastructure projects, preferably in Dubai.
- Sound knowledge of contractual relationships.
- Experience handling emergency works and coordinating with the public and various infrastructure authorities related to the projects.
