Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Engineer (Saudi National) to join our team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

Engineering Support and Field Supervision:

  • Assist in supervising airfield civil works including grading, paving, airfield lighting duct banks, and stormwater drainage systems.

  • Support the review of shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

  • Monitor contractor activities and workmanship to verify alignment with approved design and technical requirements.

Design Coordination and Technical Review:

  • Assist in coordinating with design consultants, contractors, and quality teams to resolve technical issues during construction.

  • Participate in the review of IFC drawings and redlines, ensuring that design intent is preserved during field execution.

  • Support value engineering and constructability assessments during execution phases.

Quality Assurance and Inspection Support:

  • Support QA/QC teams in conducting field inspections for civil works such as base and sub-base layers, asphalt placement, and joint construction.

  • Document and report non-conformances and assist in tracking corrective actions.

  • Participate in testing and commissioning activities for civil elements in collaboration with quality engineers and lab technicians.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track progress of site activities against schedule and report any deviations or delays to the site engineer or project manager.

  • Assist in maintaining daily logs, photographic records, and construction reports related to assigned work areas.

  • Prepare technical summaries and inputs for weekly and monthly project reports.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering, ideally with exposure to airfield or large infrastructure projects.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of airfield construction elements such as flexible pavements, airside drainage, and earthworks.

  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., FAA, ICAO, ASTM, ACI).

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

  • Proficiency in engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Excel.

  • Strong communication, organization, and technical reporting skills.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Internship or project experience on airport or aviation infrastructure is a plus.

  • Exposure to QA/QC processes, inspection procedures, or material testing.

  • Knowledge of airfield safety protocols and construction phasing.

  • Willingness to work in site-based, fast-paced environments with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
