Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Engineer – Civil / Structure  to join our team! The Lead Engineer - Civil/Structural is responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and execution of civil and structural engineering projects.
This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a collaborative approach to ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and schedule. The ideal candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, interface with clients, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Experience in stadium or large public venue projects is strongly preferred due to their specialized and complex nature.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Project Leadership

    • Lead and manage civil and structural engineering projects from conceptual design to final implementation.

    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.

    • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements.

  • Design and Analysis

    • Perform structural analyses and design for steel, concrete, and other construction materials using advanced engineering software.

    • Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.

    • Ensure designs comply with local, national, and international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocodes).

  • Quality Assurance and Compliance

    • Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments.

    • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

    • Implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity of designs and deliverables.

  • Collaboration and Coordination

    • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and provide solutions.

    • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and technical documentation to stakeholders.

    • Foster collaboration within the engineering team and across departments.

  • Construction Support

    • Oversee and provide support during the construction phase, including site visits, inspections, and addressing design-related queries.

    • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement

    • Identify and implement innovative solutions and best practices in engineering design and construction.

    • Stay updated on emerging trends, materials, and technologies in civil and structural engineering.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • 18+ years of experience in civil and structural engineering, including leadership roles.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

  • Leadership and team management skills required.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required along with project management, problem-solving skills.
