Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Design Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will determine methods and solutions for complex engineering and infrastructure design problems, applying advanced techniques to deliver efficient and economical improvements.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Function as Discipline Project Engineer, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.
Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering unit or project requiring significant manpower and financial resources.
Lead Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence, growth in the Quality Improvement Process, and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
Ensure compliance of design with all applicable codes, regulations, and contract requirements.
Prepare material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions; review supplier data; witness shop tests; assist with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.
Develop operation and maintenance plans; standard operating procedures; and O&M manuals, and conduct on-site training of personnel.
Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations.
Perform reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM), and safety analyses.
Maintain affiliation with professional societies to remain updated on current and developing technologies.
Assist in determining budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
Support administrative and technical duties as required.
Recommend and prepare technical papers.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Supervision Received: Supervising Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Discipline Engineering Manager
Supervision Given: CAD Drafter/Designers, Designers, Junior-level Engineers
Internal Contacts: All employees on program
External Contacts: Suppliers, Clients, 3rd Parties, Governmental Entities
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
10+ years of related work experience.
Professional Engineer registration required.
Potential to perform in a lead capacity.
Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with industry practices and regulations.
Thorough knowledge of current technology with ability to select and apply appropriate engineering software for projects.
Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations as needed.
