Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CAD Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to create and maintain detailed CAD drawings and models for various projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards in CAD drafting, preferably in large-scale or airport projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

CAD Design & Drafting:

• Develop and update accurate and detailed CAD drawings for architectural, engineering, or construction projects.

• Work closely with project teams to understand design specifications and ensure drawings meet project requirements.

Modeling & Documentation:

• Create 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for various project stages, including design development, construction, and as-built documentation.

• Ensure proper documentation and version control of all CAD drawings, maintaining an organized file system.

Collaboration & Coordination:

• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of CAD drawings and resolve any design discrepancies.

• Participate in design reviews and provide CAD-related support for project development.

Quality Control & Standards Compliance:

• Ensure that all CAD drawings adhere to industry standards, company guidelines, and project specifications.

• Perform quality checks on CAD drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Software & Tools Utilization:

• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D) to create and manage drawings, and stay up to date with the latest CAD tools and technologies.

• Support the CAD team by troubleshooting software issues and providing technical assistance when necessary.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CAD drafting or a similar role.

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or similar tools.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with large-scale or airport-related projects is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

• Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to CAD drafting.
