BIM Specialist

Qatar

Parsons is looking for a highly motivated BIM Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will participate in all aspects of Building Information Modeling (BIM) work, applying BIM standards, practices, and techniques from initial planning and concept development through construction support.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Participate in the BIM process, collaborating with lower-level BIM Designers/Drafters to ensure that models meet client requirements, local regulations, and international standards.
• Regular communication with the team to resolve any technical issues.
• Perform a variety of assignments such as conducting BIM studies, developing design concepts and design criteria, and preparing related reports.
• Review BIM models, CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by BIM Designers. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
• Write construction specifications and prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
• Interface with suppliers as required.
• Review supplier drawings and samples and perform technical bid analyses.
• Coordinate work with engineering and construction units at the project site. Review, approve, and issue detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.
• Provide technical guidance to lower-level BIM Designers/Drafters working on the same project.
• Keep abreast of current technologies via technical subscriptions and attendance at conferences.
• Prepare staffing estimates and execution plans.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in BIM principles and practices.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar's local building codes and international building standards.
• Advanced skills in Revit software and other relevant design tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Expert knowledge of construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Proficient PC skills including a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
