Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Batch Plant Manager to join our team! In this role you will oversee the construction activities for the FY18 Family Housing Replacement Project in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.

***Must have ability to relocate on long-term assignment to work at Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands worksite

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manages the production of concrete batching, mixing and delivery operations to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Monitors daily production activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develops and implements strategies for improving operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Provides technical support to other departments when needed regarding batch plant operations.
  • Reviews existing processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement in order to optimize performance.
  • Ensures that all personnel follow established operating guidelines for batch plant operations.
  • Trains new employees in proper use of plant equipment, support equipment, and ready-mix trucks.
  • Conducts regular maintenance checks on batch plant machinery to ensure proper functioning.
  • Reviews existing processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement in order to optimize performance.
  • Manages the production of concrete batching, mixing and delivery operations to ensure quality control standards are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees batch plant daily operations.
  • This includes material logistics, training, and equipment maintenance scheduling, coordination of daily operations with project team(s) and facilitates maintenance with oversite from the Superintendent.
  • Manages batch plant logistics, resource and materials scheduling and training for batch plant
  • Works with field foremen, oversees day to day operations, ensures plant equipment and personnel are prepared for daily production
  • Identifies equipment repair needs, facilitates scheduled maintenance
  • Oversees batch plant staff to ensure material delivery, concrete production, and quality control to meet the company expectations of quality and cost
  • Continually monitors batch plant equipment safety performance and concrete quality/smoothness as it pertains to equipment functionality
  • Ensure batch plant operations satisfy client quality requirements, contract specification, and internal quality standards
  • Responsible for identifying and training batch plant operators
  • Supports and promotes strict adherence to safety and process controls regarding operating equipment, worksite safety and documentation requirements
  • Maintains knowledge of Company values and strategic plan
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction
  • Sets clear expectations for process, roles and responsibilities
  • Strong leadership skills to support internal talent growth and mentorship at multiple project types and locations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction related field or 5 or more years related experience as well as 12+ years total experience in the industry.
  • At least 3+ years’ working with batch plants
  • NRMCA Certified Plant Manager desired or able to obtain
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain site and system accesses for a federal government project
