Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Design Manager to support the design management activities for Rights of Way Package 1  as part of the prestigious Qiddiya Project. This role involves assisting the Design Manager in coordinating and overseeing design management, assurance and approvals processes, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of design processes for this transformative Vision 2030 project.

The Assistant Design Manager will support the Design Manager responsible for managing the Lead Design Consultant (LDC)for multi-disciplinary services for the design of primary infrastructure from Concept stage through to “Issue for Construction” stage.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design Coordination:
  • Assist the Design Manager in managing and coordinating design management and assurance activities across all disciplines for the Rights of Way Package 1.
  • Assist in managing the design review process ensuring design submissions comply with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between design consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve design-related issues.
• Project Support:
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, design approval programs, and progress reports.
  • Monitor design progress and ensure timely submission of deliverables and approvals through technical stage gates.
  • Identify potential risks or delays in the design process and propose mitigation strategies.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Support the Design Manager in implementing’ quality assurance processes for all design management activities.
  • Ensure that all design management and assurance activities align with the client’s vision and project objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to address design-related queries and concerns.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on design approval progress, challenges, and resolutions.
  • Assist in managing client expectations and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of design and assurance documentation, technical approval stage gates and approvals
  • Prepare regular reports on design assurance and approvals progress, issues, and resolutions for internal and client review.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in design management, preferably on large-scale infrastructure, transportation, or mixed-use projects.
• Experience working on high-profile projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools) and project management tools.
• Strong understanding of design processes, construction methodologies, and local regulations.
