Assistant Construction Manager (Landscape)

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Construction Manager (Landscape) to join our team! In this role, you will get to support the management of on-site field construction activities for large landscape projects."

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist the Project Manager/Construction Manager in managing on-site field construction activities for assigned packages.
• Monitor the construction supervision team’s performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Help manage project timelines and budgets, identifying and addressing risks or issues.
• Develop mitigation strategies and prepare/review daily and weekly progress reports.
• Coordinate responses to RFIs and oversee the processing of change orders.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager/Construction Manager to recommend progress payments.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and the community, ensuring open communication.
• Oversee the technical aspects of the project, working closely with consultants and contractors.
• Plan construction activities, prioritize milestones, and ensure schedule compliance.
• Develop and implement mitigation measures in the event of delays.
• Ensure compliance with the project execution plan, health and safety plan, and quality assurance/quality control plans.
• Prepare periodic reports summarizing construction activities and project progress.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• 4-year degree in Engineering (Civil/Agricultural Engineering/Landscape Architecture or a related technical field)..
• Minimum of 12 years of related work experience providing construction and project management services.
• Experience in the construction of large Landscape Projects.
• Proven ability to perform in a management capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of landscape, engineering, and construction-related processes.
• Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically used in engineering and construction.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership potential with the ability to perform in a lead capacity on a project.
• Must hold MME/MMUP/UPDA certification.
