Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Asset Management Manager to join our team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

Asset Management Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive asset management strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and maximizes asset value throughout its lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define asset management objectives and ensure they are incorporated into the overall project and operational plans.

  • Establish an asset management framework that encompasses asset procurement, maintenance, operation, performance monitoring, and decommissioning.

Asset Tracking and Inventory Management:

  • Oversee the asset register and ensure that all assets are accurately recorded, tagged, and tracked throughout their lifecycle.

  • Implement systems for real-time asset tracking to ensure the location, condition, and performance data of assets are easily accessible and up-to-date.

  • Ensure proper categorization and valuation of assets, distinguishing between critical and non-critical assets to prioritize maintenance efforts and investment.

Lifecycle Management:

  • Develop and manage strategies for asset lifecycle management, from planning and procurement to commissioning, operation, and eventual disposal or replacement.

  • Ensure assets are utilized effectively to achieve optimal performance, reliability, and availability while minimizing operational costs.

  • Monitor and evaluate the useful life of assets and make recommendations for replacements, upgrades, or decommissioning as needed.

Maintenance and Performance Optimization:

  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs that minimize asset downtime and extend asset life.

  • Analyze asset performance data and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency, performance, and sustainability.

  • Ensure that all assets are maintained in line with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards to achieve high levels of reliability and safety.

Financial Management and Budgeting:

  • Develop and manage asset management budgets, ensuring that funds are allocated efficiently across maintenance, upgrades, and replacement strategies.

  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the financial viability of asset replacements, upgrades, and repairs, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Track and report on asset-related costs, including capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX), and work with finance teams to ensure proper cost management.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify and assess risks related to asset management, including operational failures, obsolescence, and regulatory compliance issues.

  • Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the potential impact of asset failures and ensure continuous service delivery.

  • Ensure assets comply with legal, regulatory, and environmental standards and requirements, including health and safety, ISO certifications, and environmental sustainability goals.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to asset performance, reliability, and utilization.

  • Ensure that all asset data is effectively captured and maintained in Asset Management Software (AMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Prepare regular asset performance and maintenance reports for senior management, providing actionable insights to improve asset performance and reduce operational costs.

Stakeholder Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., operations, engineering, procurement) and external stakeholders (e.g., contractors, suppliers, regulatory bodies) to ensure effective asset management across the project lifecycle.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on asset performance, operational readiness, and budget adherence.

  • Facilitate meetings to review asset management plans, performance, and strategies with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.

Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:

  • Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in asset management practices.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in asset management, integrating relevant innovations to improve asset performance and reduce costs.

  • Participate in training programs and workshops to keep the team informed about advancements in asset management systems and methodologies.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Asset Management, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related field.

    • Professional certifications in Asset Management (e.g., Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP), ISO 55000 certification) are highly desirable.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in asset management, facility management, or operations management in large-scale infrastructure projects or industrial settings.

    • Proven experience in asset lifecycle management, including procurement, maintenance, performance monitoring, and decommissioning.

    • Experience with asset management software tools (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM, or similar platforms) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Skills & Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of asset management principles, including lifecycle management, preventive maintenance, and performance optimization.

    • In-depth knowledge of asset management standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 55000).

    • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret asset performance data and derive actionable insights.

    • Financial acumen, with the ability to manage asset-related budgets, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.

    • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple asset management activities simultaneously.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Certifications & Professional Development:

    • Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) or equivalent certifications.

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification.

    • Six Sigma or Lean certifications to drive process improvement.

  • Industry Experience:

    • Experience in large infrastructure projects, such as transportation networks, energy facilities, utilities, smart buildings, or manufacturing plants.

    • Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and its integration into asset management workflows.

  • Technological Expertise:

    • Proficiency in Asset Management Software (AMS) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

    • Experience with IoT (Internet of Things) for asset tracking and predictive maintenance strategies.
