Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Architectural Lead to join our team! In this role you will get to guiding the design and development of airport facilities, ensuring that designs meet operational needs, safety standards, and aesthetic goals while providing a world-class experience for travelers and airport personnel alike.

What You'll be Doing;

• Lead the architectural design process for airport facilities, including terminals, airside and landside structures, concourses, and ancillary buildings.
• Develop conceptual designs, detailed architectural drawings, and construction documents that meet both the airport’s operational needs and aesthetic goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure designs meet operational, environmental, and safety standards.
• Oversee and manage architectural teams and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure alignment with project goals, schedules, and budgets.
• Work closely with airport operations teams to understand functional requirements and ensure architectural designs enhance operational efficiency and passenger experience.
• Incorporate sustainability, accessibility, and resilience into architectural designs to meet the evolving needs of airport environments.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with local, national, and international regulations, including building codes, accessibility standards, and airport-specific requirements.
• Lead safety assessments and risk mitigation strategies to ensure safe and secure airport infrastructure.
• Present design proposals, progress reports, and updates to stakeholders, including airport authorities, regulatory bodies, and project teams.
• Respond to feedback and adjust designs as necessary to meet requirements and address concerns.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of architectural designs, construction progress, and project records.
• Ensure all designs and changes are properly documented for regulatory compliance and future reference.

What Required Skills You'll Bring;

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 3 years in leading airport-related projects.
• Proven experience in designing and managing large-scale infrastructure projects in the aviation industry.
• Expertise in architectural design principles, building systems, and construction processes.
• Familiarity with airport-specific architectural requirements such as terminal design, airside and landside facilities, and passenger flow.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Licensed Architect (RA or equivalent).
• Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent).
• Experience in sustainable design practices and green building certifications (LEED, BREEAM, etc.).
