4D BIM Principal Specialist

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented 4D BIM Principal Specialist to join our dynamic team in the field of BIM. As a 4D Specialist, you will play a crucial role in integrating time-related data into our BIM processes, allowing for the visualization and simulation of construction schedules and project Planning and phasing.

What You’ll Be Doing

Technical Skills:

• Develop and manage 4D BIM models in Synchro 
• Define and implement 4D modelling standards and workflows across project controls team 
• Provide 3D objects and models for logistics and temporary works 
• Validate the metadata and parameters of the 3D models to be in line with the 4D requirements 
• Maintain the schedule and the metadata in Synchro
• Create detailed and accurate 4D simulations with markups and renders to visualize project timelines and construction sequences
• Work closely with design and project controls teams to review and validate the 3D Models and schedule 
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of 4D models with project objectives and timelines
• Conduct regular quality checks on 4D models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Implement best practices and standards for 4D planning and scheduling
• Expertise in BIM software, including Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Synchro Pro, and other relevant 3D modeling tools.
• Strong proficiency in creating and managing detailed models for infrastructure components, including highways, roads, bridges, and utilities.
• Advanced skills in clash detection, design review, and model coordination to ensure a high level of accuracy and project alignment.
• Extensive experience with 4D simulations to visualize construction phases, optimize planning, and enhance safety protocols.

• Provide upskilling and training sessions to the internal and external disciplines and project teams 
• Maintain detailed records of project schedules, models, and related documentation
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and ensure project milestones are achieved

• Self-motivated ability to manage and prioritize their tasks

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

• Proficiency in Synchro software for 4D modeling and simulation 
• In-depth experience in delivering 4D throughout design and construction stages of the project 
• Confident in using Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Civils 3D 
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 schedules 
• Strong understanding of design, construction and logistics processes, methodologies, and project management principles.
• Skills in BI software (such as Power BI or Tableau) is desirable 
• Degree in engineering, construction or related fields
• Previous consultancy experience is advantageous 

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Minimum 12 years of experience in multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects
• Bachelor’s or master's degree in Digital Information or Engineering field is required
• Demonstrated experience in BIM coordination for large-scale infrastructure projects, such as highways, rail systems, airport developments, and complex building projects.

• Proven ability to independently manage BIM processes, from model authoring to coordination, clash detection, and quality control.
• Strong background in integrating 4D simulations within the BIM environment for comprehensive project visualization.
