Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented White Space Operations Manager – Hyperscale Data Centre to join our team!

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, layout planning, and operational readiness of the data hall (“white space”) in a fast-track hyperscale data centre project targeting Uptime Institute Tier III/IV certification. The facility will host high-density IT infrastructure requiring precise operational management to ensure optimal performance, availability, and maintainability.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage the layout, utilization, and operational readiness of the data hall (white space).

• Coordinate rack deployments, power provisioning, and cooling strategies in line with IT requirements.

• Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute Tier III/IV standards for maintainability and fault tolerance.

• Interface with IT, facilities, and commissioning teams to align infrastructure and operational needs.

• Maintain accurate records of rack locations, power usage, cooling loads, and access control.

• Support change management, capacity planning, and operational risk assessments.

• Monitor environmental conditions and ensure alignment with SLA and performance targets.

• Lead white space audits, readiness checks, and support handover to operations.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• 8–10 years of experience in data centre operations, facility management, or IT infrastructure management.

• Strong understanding of Uptime Institute Tier III/IV standards and operational protocols.

• Knowledge of high-density IT deployments, power and cooling systems, and rack management.

• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, IT, or related field. Certifications in data centre operations (e.g., CDCP, CDCS) are desirable.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

• Experience in fast-track hyperscale data centre projects.

• Familiarity with environmental monitoring systems, BMS, and IT infrastructure management tools.

• Ability to lead audits, operational readiness checks, and handover processes.

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with IT, facilities, and commissioning teams.
