Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Traffic Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our team! In this role, you will deliver traffic and transport studies for major infrastructure and development projects, including traffic impact assessments, operational analyses, and transport modelling for roads, intersections, and corridors. You will work closely with multidisciplinary design teams and clients to develop practical, data-driven solutions that improve network performance, safety, and mobility.

What You'll Be Doing:

• As Traffic Engineer, the ideal candidate will develop traffic reports including traffic impact studies, traffic impact assessments, traffic survey report, methodology report etc.
• Develop travel demand modeling using PTV VISUM, EMME and other software packages.
• Perform traffic operational analysis for road network using software’s such as Sidra, Synchro, HCS and PTV VISSIM.
• Conducting parking studies in terms of parking demand and supply, parking design within buildings, traffic circulation, determining the number of accesses/egresses.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) KSA.
• Experienced with Micro-Mobility devices like bicycles, e-bicycles, and e-scooters, which offer convenient transportation for first and last-mile connectivity.
• Prepare traffic signage and road marking plans.
• Prepare Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP).
• Maintains first level quality assurance to confirm perform all work within his/her discipline in accordance with the traffic and transportation industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to bring projects from concept to completion.
• Supporting project managers and senior staff by participating in client meetings to discuss project requirements and deliverables, etc.
• Working within established project teams to deliver planning, design and junction analysis tasks.
• Liaises with RCRC, RCMC, Municipalities, MOT and other KSA local authorities’ officials, where required.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of project documentation compliance with relevant local authorities.
• Perform other related duties based on the requirements of the organization.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience and a minimum of 5 years of major roads/transportation projects within the GCC.
• Experience on large scale master planning, mega projects, and mixed-use developments.
• Experience in parking management, parking demand and supply analysis, parking design within buildings, internal traffic circulation, and determining the number of accesses/egresses.
• Must have thorough working knowledge with traffic analysis tools such as SYNCHRO, PTV VISUM, PTV VISSIM, HCS, Sidra and other traffic engineering – modeling software.
• Proven experience with Traffic Impact Studies and traffic operational analysis.
• Familiarity with relevant international traffic and transport standards and guidelines, including the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM).
• Knowledge of KSA local standards and guidelines, including SHC, RCRC, RTGM, RCMC and other applicable guidelines and procedures for transport studies.
• English language written and oral communications skills.
• Strong report writing skills and experience preparing technical presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to understand business goals and translate them into technical requirements and project plans.
• Ability to work well under pressure with strong attention to detail, making decisive decisions.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear technical reports and presentations.
• Experience with EMME will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience working in Saudi Arabia is preferable.
