The Test Director will lead all aspects of test planning, execution, and reporting for advanced tactical systems in the RF, SIGINT, EW, and edge software domains. This role requires close collaboration with systems engineers, developers, field personnel, and customers to ensure systems meet rigorous functional, performance, and mission-readiness standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong test engineering background, thrives in dynamic environments, and is passionate about driving program success through disciplined and innovative test practices.

  • Oversees the operation and maintenance of test infrastructure including test labs, equipment inventory, instrumentation, and simulation tools.

  • Plans and conducts test events—from small component-level tests to complex multi-system field demonstrations—ensuring data collection, safety, and coordination.

  • Interfaces directly with customers, users, and stakeholders to define test objectives, review results, and ensure alignment with mission goals and system requirements.

  • Works closely with developers and systems engineers to diagnose defects, track issues, and iterate improvements in both hardware and software.

  • Authors comprehensive test documentation, including plans, readiness reviews, procedures, execution logs, test cards, and final reports.

  • Manages test schedule dependencies, resources, and staffing to meet program milestones with high confidence and quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in test engineering, systems validation, or field testing for complex hardware/software systems.

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

  • Experience conducting system-level testing in RF, wireless, SIGINT, EW, or embedded sensor environments.

  • Strong understanding of test methodologies, verification/validation approaches, and operational readiness frameworks (e.g., TEMP, TRL).

  • Demonstrated experience running tests in field or austere environments and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, especially in customer-facing settings.

  • Proficient with test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, RF test sets, traffic generators) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Python scripts, Excel-based test cards).

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with Top Secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI clearance preferred.

  • Experience with software-centric systems testing including CI/CD-based regression and edge deployment verification.

  • Familiarity with agile or DevSecOps practices and integration of test events into iterative development cycles.

  • Ability to define and improve internal test processes, infrastructure, and documentation standards.
