Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Specialist (DMS) to join our team! In this role you will get to implement centralized online scheduling system, organize all delivery vehicular movements for deliveries and collections throughout the life cycle of the event.

What You'll Be Doing:

• System Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Delivery Management System (DMS). Collaborate with system developers to tailor the system to Site's evolving requirements across phases (construction, fit-out, test events, actual event, and decommissioning). Enhance user access functionalities, troubleshoot issues, and optimize DMS operations to ensure uninterrupted site deliveries.

• Vendor Liaison: Establish a productive relationship with the DMS vendor to address system issues and drive functional developments, aiming to deliver the best user experience and maintain smooth operations in alignment with site requirements (construction, fit-out, pre-event, event, and decommissioning).

• Recruitment and Management: Take charge of recruiting and managing personnel dedicated to the DMS.

• Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and train a team comprising logistics staff and contractors.

• Process Development: Formulate and implement streamlined processes, policies, and procedures for 's Delivery Management System (DMS).

• Training Oversight: Create and regularly update training sessions for new project schedulers joining the DMS User community within .

• DMS Operations Management: Assume responsibility for overseeing DMS operations at the site: centralize reporting, monitor work orders, and ensure that service levels align with the requirements of other functional areas and stakeholders.

• Scheduling and Logistics Enhancement: Innovate and improve processes related to scheduling, routing, and logistics distribution systems within DMS operations.

• Work Order Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Venue Logistics team to plan and coordinate work orders across the site. Optimize resource allocation, encompassing manpower, material handling equipment, and tools.

• Scheduling and Fleet Coordination: Foster seamless scheduling in conjunction with the Scheduling and Fleet Management teams within the Distribution
  department. This coordination spans all phases of the Dubai event and encompasses both internal and external stakeholders.

• Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges and conflicts through the effective use of the DMS system.

• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work in tandem with other Logistics workstream Senior Managers (e.g., Customs & Freight Forwarding, Material Management, Warehousing Distribution, Venue Logistics, Programme Management) to ensure an efficient, end-to-end logistics operation.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with participants, stakeholders, and functional areas. Record, evaluate, and strategize to meet service requirements for efficient logistics delivery.

• Policy Adherence Oversight: Offer guidance, consultations, and updates to different departments, participants, suppliers, and external stakeholders. Ensure strict adherence to Logistics policies, procedures, and frameworks, with a focus on DMS operations.

• Delivery Coordination: Collaborate with the Logistics Materials Management workstream to orchestrate and monitor deliveries in and out of Venues.

• Post-Event Asset Recovery: Contribute to the planning and execution of the post- recovery process for all assets.

• Communication Strategy Implementation: Lead the review and implementation of communication strategies within the DMS community, enabling effective communication and integration among Logistics Operations. Ensure seamless adherence to project deadlines.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Business or related field from an accredited university/institution is required.

• 5 - 10 Years of Experience in implementation of DMS technology on projects.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required.

• Project Planning, Customer Relations and Stakeholder Management skills are required.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
