Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Site Support Lead to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead technical support activities across construction work fronts and project areas. Provide technical guidance to site engineering teams, construction managers, inspectors, and contractors. Act as the primary technical focal point for site-related engineering challenges and coordination matters. Ensure construction teams have the required technical information, approvals, and engineering support to maintain project progress. Support the Delivery Partner in achieving project delivery objectives and operational readiness.
• Manage and coordinate resolution of technical issues raised during construction activities. Review and assess site queries, RFIs, technical clarifications, and design-related challenges. Coordinate with design consultants and engineering disciplines to provide timely technical solutions. Monitor outstanding technical issues and ensure effective closeout. Identify recurring technical challenges and recommend improvements to prevent delays.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, design changes, and technical submissions from a construction perspective. Ensure design requirements are properly interpreted and implemented on site. Coordinate between design teams and construction teams to resolve constructability issues. Review proposed alternatives, substitutions, and technical deviations. Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, ICT/ELV, airfield/AGL systems, and utilities/infrastructure works. Facilitate technical coordination meetings between contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders. Support resolution of clashes, interface conflicts, and sequencing challenges. Ensure technical alignment across all project disciplines.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities. Participate in site inspections and technical walkthroughs. Review contractor method statements, shop drawings, material submissions, and construction proposals. Support construction teams in resolving technical constraints affecting progress. Ensure construction activities comply with approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
• Support QA/QC teams in resolving technical quality issues and non-conformance reports. Review technical aspects of inspection records, test results, and corrective actions. Ensure construction works comply with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. Participate in technical audits, quality reviews, and project assessments. Promote continuous improvement in construction delivery processes.
• Coordinate with the client, airport authorities, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers. Participate in technical meetings, progress meetings, and coordination workshops. Provide technical recommendations to support project decision-making. Maintain effective communication between engineering, construction, and project management teams. Support escalation and resolution of critical technical matters.
• Identify technical risks that may impact project delivery, cost, schedule, or quality. Lead constructability reviews and provide practical site-based recommendations. Assess the impact of design changes and technical decisions. Support development of mitigation strategies and recovery actions. Ensure lessons learned are captured and implemented.
• Prepare technical support reports, issue trackers, engineering status updates, and progress summaries. Maintain records of technical queries, resolutions, approvals, and engineering decisions. Monitor technical issue status and provide updates to Project Management. Support preparation of project closeout documentation and handover records.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Engineering Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related disciplineCivil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
• Professional engineering certification is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction engineering, technical support, engineering coordination, or site delivery management.
• Proven experience on major airport, aviation, infrastructure, transportation, or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong experience supporting complex multidisciplinary projects involving airport terminals, runways and taxiways, cargo facilities, aircraft aprons, infrastructure and utility systems, and operational airport facilities.
• Experience working in Client, PMC, Engineer, or Delivery Partner roles. Demonstrated experience managing technical issues and coordinating between design and construction teams.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Professional Engineer PEPE, Chartered Engineer CEngCEng, or equivalent professional registration.
• Experience delivering major international airport development or expansion projects.
• Knowledge of ICAO, FAA, and aviation infrastructure requirements.
• Experience working under FIDIC or similar international contract frameworks.
• Experience supporting Design-Build, EPC, PMC, or Delivery Partner project delivery models.
• Strong experience with technical governance, interface management, and construction risk management.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination, digital engineering platforms, and Common Data Environment CDECDE.
• Strong experience managing contractors, consultants, and airport stakeholders.
