Job Description:

Parsons are seeking a Sustainability Specialist - Saudi National with 5 years of experience to drive sustainability initiatives and environmental performance on a large-scale airport/airfield development project. The role requires expertise in sustainable construction practices, energy efficiency, carbon management, and compliance with environmental regulations.

The Sustainability Specialist will support the delivery of sustainable outcomes in alignment with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and corporate ESG goals.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop and implement sustainability plans and initiatives for the airport project.
• Ensure alignment with environmental regulations, ESG standards, and client sustainability objectives.
• Integrate sustainable practices into construction, design, and operational activities.
• Monitor environmental performance, including energy, water, waste, and emissions.
• Conduct environmental audits, assessments, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for resource efficiency, emissions reduction, and sustainable materials usage.
• Prepare sustainability reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking for stakeholders.
• Support ESG reporting in line with local, national, and international standards.
• Ensure documentation supports compliance, certification, and audit readiness.
• Promote sustainability awareness among project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions on sustainable practices and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to integrate sustainable solutions.
• Engage with regulatory authorities, airport authorities, and clients on sustainability matters.
• Support certification processes (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, ISO 14001) if applicable.

Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sustainability experience in infrastructure, construction, or aviation projects.
• Experience with airport or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of sustainability standards, carbon footprint reduction, and environmental management systems (ISO 14001).
• Strong analytical, reporting, and project management skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Certifications in sustainability, environmental management, or energy (LEED, BREEAM, GHG Protocol).
• Experience implementing sustainability initiatives on airport or aviation infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks, circular economy practices, and green building standards.
