Job Description:

Ready to put your sustainability expertise to work on complex, high-impact projects? Parsons is now hiring a Sustainability Manager who will be instrumental in delivering environmentally responsible and resource-efficient solutions across the project lifecycle.

In this role, you will drive sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with green building standards and local regulatory requirements. You’ll collaborate with design teams, contractors, and client stakeholders to embed sustainability principles from early planning through to construction and operations. Your technical knowledge, strategic insight, and communication skills will be essential in achieving project certification goals and advancing Parsons’ commitment to environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies, goals, and action plans at the program or project level.

• Lead sustainability certification processes (e.g., LEED, Envision, Mostadam, Estidama) including registration, coordination, and documentation management.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design and construction teams to integrate sustainable practices throughout the project lifecycle.

• Conduct sustainability assessments, gap analyses, energy modeling reviews, and life cycle cost analysis as applicable.

• Monitor project compliance with environmental regulations and client sustainability frameworks.

• Review design documents and specifications to align with project-specific sustainability targets.

• Coordinate and conduct internal sustainability audits and support external assessments or verifications.

• Prepare sustainability reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal leadership and external stakeholders.

• Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and sustainability training programs within project teams and for client personnel.

• Represent Parsons in client meetings and sustainability forums, promoting best practices and innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Sustainability, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

• 10+ years of professional experience in sustainability management within the engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors.

• Strong working knowledge of local and international sustainability standards and certification systems (e.g., LEED, Envision, Mostadam, Estidama).

• Demonstrated experience managing sustainability on major infrastructure or development programs.

• Familiarity with Middle East sustainability regulations, especially in KSA, UAE, and Qatar, is a plus.
