Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a highly motivated and talented Co-op Student to join our team! In this role you will get to learn about the work of bridge engineers.

Parsons continues its expansion in Western Canada while preparing for the next major infrastructure challenges. We want to strengthen our teams with candidates who are passionate about engineering. Our Burnaby team is looking for a co-op student to work on temporary basis with our bridge engineers. This is the perfect opportunity for a student to learn and grow with the support of engineering professionals while delivering exciting projects. This person shall have a great learning attitude, fascinated about structural engineering, and a strong desire to work on bridge projects. The intent of this interimship is to build a strong relationship for future employment after graduation.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assisting engineers with technical tasks, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
Working with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to achieve project goals
Preparing technical documentation, reports, and manuals
Assisting with project support tasks, including scheduling, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met
Conducting research to support engineering projects and staying updated on industry trends and technologies
Participating in quality assurance processes, including inspections and audits
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Incumbent must be enrolled in an Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university have completed typically 1+ year of studies in a major Engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)

Requirements include PC literacy
Literate in PC software, a working knowledge of CAD, and other computer software used to complete design assignments.
